Lash lift and brow combo, every time

18 September 2026 · Skin & Clinic
Client after a lash lift and brow shape at La Mode Gympie

Lash lift and brow combo always hits the mark. That was the note on the post, and it holds up every time we do one. It is not a loud appointment. Nobody walks out looking like a different person. What happens is quieter than that: the eyes open up, the brows sit in a better line, and the face looks like it slept well.

Plainly, here is what you get. Your own lashes, lifted from the root so they curl up and away from the eye, which reads as longer and darker without extensions. Brows tidied and shaped to frame them. No curler, no pencil work in the morning mirror, no mascara if you would rather skip it.

What a lash lift and a brow shape actually do

A lash lift works with the lashes you already have. We start by placing a small silicone shield against the lid. The curve of that shield decides the curl you finish with, so it is worth telling us if you want soft and natural or something more open. The lashes are combed back over the shield, a lifting solution goes on to soften the bonds in the hair, and a setting solution fixes them into the new shape. A tint is often added at the same stage, and that is what gives the darker, fuller look along the lash line.

Brows are the other half of the job. A shape, a wax and a tidy, then a trim of anything sitting outside the line. If your brows are sparse or pale, a tint fills the gaps and gives the shape something to hold on to. The two treatments work as a pair because they are doing the same job from different angles: opening the eye area and then framing it.

Both are done in The Clinic at 7 Barter Street, which means one appointment rather than two trips across town.

What to expect in the chair

You lie back with your eyes closed for most of it. We tape or pad the lower lashes down so they stay out of the way, then work lash by lash. The main thing we ask is that you keep still and keep talking to a minimum while the solutions are on, because movement shifts lashes off the shield and the curl goes uneven.

There is a faint solution smell, which is normal for any lifting product, and some clients notice a little warmth on the lid. It passes quickly. Once the lift is set and the brows are done, you get the mirror and a short lesson on brushing the lashes up with a spoolie.

A combined appointment usually runs somewhere around an hour to ninety minutes, depending on whether a tint is added and how much brow work there is. If you are new to lash lifts we patch test first, and that needs to happen ahead of your appointment rather than on the day. If you would like to know what it costs before you book, our pricing page lists it.

Aftercare, and who it suits

The first 24 hours matter most. Keep the lashes and brows dry. No steam, no swimming, no long hot shower, no rubbing, no mascara, and no oil-based products near either area. After that you can go back to normal, though oil-based cleansers and makeup removers will shorten the life of a lift, so keep them off the lash line where you can.

Brush the lashes up with a dry spoolie each morning. It takes ten seconds and keeps them sitting in the right direction. If they start to look crooked at any point, come in rather than pulling at them yourself.

A lash lift generally lasts six to eight weeks. It follows your natural lash growth cycle rather than any clock, so it never drops out all at once. Brow shape holds around four to six weeks, and a tint fades sooner than the shape does. Most clients settle into a rhythm of one appointment every month or two.

It suits anyone whose lashes grow straight or point downward, which is far more common than people realise. It suits anyone who wants to stop wearing mascara every day, swimmers who gave up on curling years ago, and anyone heading away on holidays who would rather not pack three products for their eyes. It is not the right call if your lashes are very short or very fine, or if you have had recent eye surgery or an active eye infection. In those cases we will tell you at consultation and suggest something else. If you have a medical concern about your eyes or brows, talk to your GP.

Waxing, lash lifts and brows are all part of the same clinic menu, so if you are already booked in for something else, ask and we will see what fits into the same visit.
