The Intense Pulse Light (IPL) works by flashing light into the deeper layers of the skin, heating the hair follicle and causing enough damage to destroy it. IPL is effective for most hair and skin types, though lighter-coloured hair requires additional sessions.
The Nd:YAG laser selectively targets hairs in the anagen phase and completely destroys the follicular structure, including its feeder vessels. It is the best up-to-date solution for permanent hair reduction and it addresses all skin tones and hair colours, excluding white hairs.
Which one you get is decided at your free consultation, based on your skin tone, hair colour and the area being treated.

Do not wax, pluck or epilate the area before treatment. Both IPL and laser need the hair root in place to work. Shaving is fine, and there is a shave add-on if you would rather we did it.
Recent sun exposure or a fresh tan changes how your skin responds and can make treatment unsafe. This matters more here than it does further south — plan around your beach weekends.
Hair grows in cycles and only hairs in the active phase respond, which is why a single session will not clear an area. Sessions are spaced deliberately — keeping to the schedule is what gets the result.
