Long, luscious and looking flawless. Hair by Mia — and no, it did not grow that way between Tuesday and Thursday.
Look at the after and the eye goes straight to the length. Look again and the real work is in the weight: a hem that sits heavy and straight across the back, mid-lengths thick enough to hold a mirror shine, and a warm honey blonde that runs unbroken from a soft root all the way down. That is length, density and colour solved in one appointment.
Where it started
The before is shoulder-length, fine through the ends, and carrying a grown-out ombré — dark at the root, brassy from the ears down, with the last few inches gone wispy and see-through. Hair that has been growing for a long time and losing ground at the bottom faster than it gains at the top.

This is the honest ceiling a lot of people hit. You can be doing everything right and still have hair that will not get past the shoulder blades, because it is breaking or thinning at the ends at roughly the same rate it grows at the scalp. Trims help the condition but they do not add length, and no treatment in the world adds density.
Amore extensions, colour-matched
So we added it. Amore hair extensions, colour-matched to her own hair and fitted so they sit flat, stay hidden and move naturally with the rest of the head. The colour work is what sells it — matched at the root, matched through the mid-lengths, and blended at the join so there is no shelf where the extension starts.

Fitting is only half of it. The cut afterwards is what makes extensions look like hair instead of like extensions: the hem has to be softened, the layers have to be reconnected to the natural hair, and the whole thing has to be dressed so it falls in one piece. Done badly you get a visible step. Done properly you get this.
Should you get extensions, or grow it?
We will give you a straight answer at consultation, and sometimes the answer is no. If your own hair is fragile at the root, extensions add weight it cannot carry, and we would rather put you on a plan of small regular trims and in-salon repair treatments to build the condition back first. That is a smaller booking today and the right call for your hair.
If your hair is healthy and simply will not go past a certain point — or you want thickness rather than length, which is at least half the people who ask — extensions do in an afternoon what two years of patience will not.
Looking after long hair in Gympie
Length is a maintenance commitment whether it grew on you or not. Extensions need their maintenance appointments kept — letting them run long is how you get matting at the join and damage underneath. Your own hair still needs its trims, and both need protecting from the things that wreck long hair here: sun, chlorine, salt and going to bed with it wet.
If you would rather stop fighting frizz altogether, ask about keratin straightening at the same time — it smooths the cuticle and cuts your morning styling time for months at a stretch, which on hair this long is not a small thing. And if the honey tone is what caught your eye, the pearl butter blonde sits in the same warm family.
Call La Mode on 07 5483 8555 for an extensions consultation — we will match the colour, quote the work and book the time it needs. 7 Barter Street, Gympie, Monday to Friday from 9:00am and Saturday from 8:00am. Find us here.
